After months of weighing my options between renewing my lease at The Katy Victory Park or making a move to The Sinclair, I finally made my decision—and I’m excited to show you around my new, fully furnished apartment. If you’re curious about Dallas high-rise living, especially in Victory Park, this tour offers a real-life look at the space, lifestyle, and the reasons behind my choice.

Settling Into The Katy Victory Park

This is my fourth lease in the building, but my first time living above the fourth floor. I’m now on the 12th, and the skyline views are honestly one of the best perks. At The Katy, if your unit faces the skyline and you’re on the seventh floor or higher, you get a pretty incredible view of downtown Dallas—without needing to be on the very top floors.

After years in a studio, I finally have more space to make my own. The apartment now feels like home: I’ve added bar stools, decorated the office with some motivational prints, and even got a proper bed frame and nightstands (a first for me!). The living area is comfortable and bright, with a big kitchen island that’s perfect for meal prep or entertaining. I still need to figure out some balcony furniture, but I’m envisioning a cozy setup with a sectional and a fire pit for those Dallas evenings.

Home Office, Views, and Everyday Living

My office is where all my content gets created—YouTube videos, voiceovers, editing, and more. I’m proud of the space and the awards I’ve earned over the past year. The floor-to-ceiling window in the bathroom is another unique touch, offering natural light and a view that never gets old.

One of the biggest differences this year is the sheer amount of space. I went from 650 square feet to about double that (the B1 floor plan here), and it’s been a game changer for storage and comfort. The closet space is generous, and the living room finally fits a proper couch and rug. Evenings are especially nice, with the city lights and the buzz of Victory Park below.

Why I Stayed at The Katy Victory Park

When it came down to renewing at The Katy or moving to The Sinclair, I thought hard about what mattered most to me. The Sinclair is a great building, but I realized that Victory Park just fits my lifestyle better. I love being walkable to American Airlines Center for basketball and hockey games, and there are plenty of restaurants and spots like Monero, Billy Can Can, Chipotle, Insomniac Cookies, and Jeni’s Ice Cream all within reach.

The Katy Trail is another huge perk—having the entrance right at my building makes it easy to get outside and enjoy one of Dallas’s best outdoor amenities. The gym here is solid, the management team is fantastic, and I have close friends in the building. All those factors made it clear that staying put was the right move for me.

Life, Community, and Real Estate in Dallas

Living in Victory Park means you’re close to the action but just north of downtown, which gives a bit of separation from the busiest parts of the city. The community here is tight-knit, and as I’ve gotten older, having friends in the building has become even more important.
